RF Microneedling in Richmond Hill

Overview

What Is RF Microneedling?

Looking for RF microneedling in Richmond Hill? It combines microneedling with radiofrequency heat to rebuild collagen for acne scars, pores and firmness.

RF microneedling uses fine needles to create tiny channels in the skin while delivering radiofrequency heat beneath the surface. Together they trigger collagen and elastin production in the deeper layers.

Because the heat is delivered below the surface, it suits many skin tones and has less downtime than ablative laser.

RF microneedling is a core part of our cosmetic treatments and most acne scar plans. We often combine it with PRP to support healing. For stronger resurfacing on lighter skin, CO2 laser is an option; for gentle maintenance, Laser Genesis.

Treatment time: 45–60 minutes plus numbing
Downtime: Redness 1–3 days
Sessions: Usually 3, 4–6 weeks apart
Results: Build over 3–6 months

FAQ

RF Microneedling FAQs

Still have a question? Call us at (905) 883-7997, Monday to Friday, or see all cosmetic treatments.

Most patients need about three sessions, 4 to 6 weeks apart.

Redness and mild swelling usually last 1 to 3 days, and tiny grid marks or pinpoint scabs may show. Wait at least 4 hours before washing your face or applying makeup.

Because the heat is delivered below the surface, RF microneedling suits many skin tones and has a lower pigment risk than ablative laser. We assess your skin type at your consultation.

CO2 laser is the stronger option, with about 5 to 7 days of downtime, and works best on lighter skin. RF microneedling suits more skin tones, has 1 to 3 days of downtime and builds over about three sessions. Some plans use both, and we recommend the right approach at your consultation.

Skin usually looks fresher within a week, and results keep improving for 3 to 6 months as collagen rebuilds.

RF microneedling is priced per session, and the total depends on the area, the number of sessions and whether PRP is added. We confirm pricing at your consultation and give you a written plan and quote before treatment. Cosmetic treatments are not covered by OHIP.

Numbing cream is applied for about 45 minutes first, and most patients feel warmth and pressure during treatment.

RF microneedling can firm mild skin laxity on the face and neck by building new collagen and elastin. Results are gradual and suit mild laxity rather than significant sagging.

Yes. We often combine RF microneedling with PRP to support healing. Adding PRP is discussed and priced in your treatment plan.

RF microneedling can be used on body areas and may improve the texture of some stretch marks. Whether it suits yours is assessed at your consultation.
